1. Who is responsible for your data?
The purpose of Seald is to provide business clients with tools for encrypting their data (for example, through its SDK). As such, Seald mostly acts as a data processor: the business client is the data controller. In such cases, we recommend contacting the relevant business client directly to understand how your data is processed.
However, Seald also collects and processes some personal data as a data controller, for example when you visit our website, when you register to use our services, or when you contact us for more information or for support.
If you have an account and use our services, the processing of your personal data is governed by our Terms & Conditions and their associated Data Processing Agreement. Please refer to those documents.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the other processing operations where Seald acts as a data controller, for example when you visit our website or contact us for more information.
2. What personal data do we collect?
We may collect and process the following categories of data:
- Identity and contact information: such as name, email address, and company, when you ask us for more information.
- Technical data: such as IP address, browser type, device and usage data collected when you visit our website.
- Marketing preferences: when you opt in or opt out of communications from us.
3. Why do we process your data?

6. How long do we keep your data?
We retain personal data collected under this Privacy Policy only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, and in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
After the applicable retention period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymized. However, copies of your data may be retained in system backups for up to six (6) months after deletion, for security and continuity purposes only, and are automatically purged beyond that period.
7. What are your rights?
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:
- Access: to your personal data
- Rectification: if your data is incorrect
- Erasure: under the conditions of Article 17 GDPR
- Restriction of processing: in certain cases
- Portability: of your data in structured format
- Objection: to certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent: at any time, for consent-based processing
- Post-mortem instructions: to decide what happens to your data after your death
